Day 166, 199 To Go

June 15, 2013

I was up early today as it was "my turn" to wake up with the babies.  So much for a relaxing Father's Day weekend.  On top of that, Joshua appears to have a fever.  He is acting normally and eating, but how long will that last?  How long before the whining and crying and clinging and projectile vomiting starts?

If you said about 9:30am, you'd be right (minus the vomiting, thank goodness!)

The problem with cuddling with my little boy isn't that I don't like to do it, its that my two little girls get jealous and they get all cranky and screamy, particularly Ayla.  She is a bit of a hog when it comes to lap time.  If she is on your lap, everything is fine, until you put her down and especially if anyone else gets in your lap.  Add to that a jealous 4 year old in Derek, and I turn into a jungle gym full of screaming children.

Calgon, take me away and drown me...please!!

It was brutally hot today.  It was so hot that I didn't even think about going out for my run until after 7pm when the sun was low in the sky.  It was a reasonable temperature by then.

Here are my numbers:

Time: 20:00
Distance: 2.25 miles
Pace: 8:54/m
Max Pace: 7:13/m
Calories: 283
Avg HR: 124
Max HR: 139

I was a bit tired and I really kind of dragged myself through this run.  Honey was nursing a migraine so I was on my own.  I could have used the motivation, I suppose.  At least I finished it.

Fast forward to bed time which was about 1am for me and queue up the screaming, inconsolable, sick child.  Yup, we welcomed Joshua into our bed as he would not stop screaming.  He kept us both up for a while longer and he slept in Honey's arms who got even less sleep than I did.

I had planned to bike and run in the morning, but I am guessing I will be unable to wake up in the morning...in fact, I'm pretty sure I won't!!

Run for Life!!
