I know this is a common theme with me, but holy crap, its Monday again. It seems like it comes around every few days (7 to be exact). I think the problem is that I don't actually relax on the weekend so Monday comes too soon. I may actually start to like Monday since sometimes I can relax more on Mondays than I do on Saturday and Sunday!I felt good today after the long run on Sunday, but when I started to run, I was terribly slow. Luckily, I had Honey to keep me company. I had to work to keep up with her at the onset. She did a great job and ran straight through to the turn around at 10 minutes. After that, she had maybe one or two short stops. She is getting better and even more than that, she is actually trying.
It is amazing what you can accomplish when your head is into what you are doing. If you set out on some goal with negativity on your mind, you are defeating yourself before you even start. Conversely, if you start out with a positive mindset, you are giving yourself a boost that potentially push you over the edge of success. When it comes to running, your mind is sometimes even more important than your body. When the going gets tough, it is your mind that will keep you going. You can always go further than you think. You can always go faster than you think. And if you think you can go faster and you think you can go further, just imagine what you can accomplish!
I often wrestle with positivity. When it hurts or when I am tired I can hear the negative thoughts creeping in and I always fight them off if I can. Sometimes I win, and sometimes I lose. I feel like I am winning more often than I am losing during this trial of running every day! That is definitely a positive!!
