Today I went to another kids birthday party. My Tri training partner's son, Mason. He is six. Derek was, of course, very excited to go to the party. I was excited to eat cupcakes and candy. We have different priorities.I ate my share of chocolate and candy and Derek had a blast playing with the other kids on the playground. All was good. It was a warm day (we are getting more and more of those) and just a bit windy. All I needed to do was find a good time to go for my run.
After the party, I finally got time to run my 15 minutes. It was a slow run and I really wasn't feeling well. I was starting to lose hearing in my right ear and I couldn't keep my nose clear for more than a second. Breathing, as you can imagine, was not easy.
I have been using nasal spray. These are addicting. Not addicting like heroine, but addicting to your body in a way that after a while, if you stop using them, your nasal passages get clogged up for no reason. It is a viscous cycle that I am stuck in...again. I'll have to wean myself off the crack again soon...but not until my cold is gone. I can't believe I am getting sick again.
Its not just me that has been sick...earlier this week a variety of my children were complaining about various maladies. Of course, I can't say what was bothering them because all I heard was WAHHHHHHHH! WAHHHHHH! WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Usually, this crying was in the middle of the night. Sleep has been hard to come by, lately.
