Day 35, 330 To Go

February 4, 2013

Tomorrow, Honey and I are going out to a special dinner.  It will be our 5th anniversary dinner.  The dinner is taking place on February 5th...our anniversary is on the 6th.  I remember I told all of you that our anniversary was on Tuesday (the 5th) and not on Wednesday (the 6th).  This may sound like the typical husband forgetting his anniversary.

It isn't.

I just have trouble using and understanding calendars.  Seriously.  Yeah, the concept of dates is fairly simple.  For some reason, though, I constantly am living in the wrong time.  It is either yesterday or tomorrow, last week, or next week, last year or next year...but never today, this week, or this year.  I may actually KNOW that date (the 6th...I said that many times) but I may not realize that Wednesday is the 6th and not Tuesday.  Honest mistake.

Luckily, Honey believed me that Tuesday was the 6th...until she actually looked at a calendar too.  She has an excuse...when you don't work or go to school every day, the days blend into each other and dates are not that important.  Of course, as the kiddies get older, there are play dates and soccer games and ballet and piano lessons and holycrapi'mgoingtobepoorforever!!

Where was I?  Oh, our anniversary.  Yes, Tuesday we are going out to eat and we'll pretend it is the 6th.  If we stay out late enough (and we do plan on cruising the avenue...in this case, it is the drive...International Drive in Orlando) it will eventually be our anniversary.  Then we can do something crazy like have sex in a photo booth somewhere.

Did I mention my mom reads this blog.  Hi mom!  Just pretend you are as blind as you are deaf, and skip that last line.  Thanks!

It has been a long wonderful five years together and I am looking forward to 2...uh...5...er...10 more years...an eternity together with you!

All kidding aside, I am very lucky to have such a loving, caring, supportive, beautiful & wonderful mother for a life partner.  Eternity is not long enough.

(That ought to get me some photo booth sex...if not, nothing will!)

We ran earlier today, so it wasn't freezing.  Honey had her best pace yet!  Her pain is starting to go away (now she is just a pain in my butt...so there's still that) so all this running is starting to pay off.  Soon, she'll be faster than me!

Here are our numbers:

Time: 15:00
Distance: 1.26 miles
Pace: 11:57/m
Max Pace: 10:29/m
Calories: 148
Avg HR: 103
Max HR: 118

Until tomorrow, my friends...

Run for life!
