I totally dropped the ball. Three balls, actually. Do you know what yesterday was? It was my triplet's birthday! They are one year old! Holy crap, does time fly. My little precious babies, Ayla, Kaylee and Joshua, the light's of my life (Derek, my four year old, is a part of that too)! You may be wondering if we had one of those obscenely extravagant one year old birthday parties? We didn't, thank goodness. We sort of had one for Derek. It was a Pirate themed party and a Brazilian restaurant. It was pretty awesome, but it cost me an arm and a leg (which makes it difficult to run, I tell you!)
We are going to have a small gathering next weekend, in fact, but it will not be over the top for a few reasons. First, I think it is stupid. They are 1. They won't remember and as I get older, I remember less and less, so why bother. Second, we don't know that many people down here in Florida yet, so even if we wanted to do something big, no one would come! So, we'll have a few new friends over and we'll have some cake and the babies won't give a shit either way. (Correction, they give like 2 or 3 a day, and diapers don't grow on trees folks...perhaps I should feed them less...)
Here is a pic of the birthday babies:
Are they cut or what? If your answer is what, I don't care. They are my babies and they are the cutest little bastards ever born. Actually, that is exactly what Honey thinks. According to her, she gave birth to two future Supermodels and one Romance novel cover model. I'm inclined to agree, except that I realize I am blinded by my love for them and they may not be perfect...just pretty fucking close!
Here are my numbers:
Time: 15:00
Distance: 1.72 miles
Pace: 8:42/m
Max Pace: 7:25/m
Calories: 224
Avg HR: 136
Max HR: 147
It was a comfortable run. No issues or special experiences to speak of. Once again, I ran alone, although Honey said she would start again on Monday. Monday has this magical property in our house where every new thing we start has to begin on a Monday. I think this is the way it is with most people. Perhaps that is another reason to hate Mondays!
Run for life!
