Its Sunday and apparently, time to clean the house. Why? It just gets dirty again. Mind as well live in filth and not have to suffer the indignity of cleaning. Seriously. However, we are having company tonight, and that means that we have to do some cleaning.
To make it worthwhile, I decided to clean the garage out a bit. Honey is a pack rat. I say that with love, but only a little love because only so much love will fit alongside all the junk she likes to save. Now, she isn't the kind to save aluminium foil or half used paper towels, thank Thor, but baby food jars...check...wrapping paper and party bags...check...old party favors...check...pieces of wood that she may be able to paint in the future...check...baby clothes...check...and I could go on, but I won't. So, I moved and shifted and stored and cleaned and after a few hours, my ping pong table was visible and I was able to play!
In fact, Fluffy (Honey's brother) was staying over for the night on his way back from a cruise and on his way home. We were just a layover for him, Renata, his girlfriend, and Fish, his friend for the night. So Fluffy and I played a bunch of ping pong. I won, of course, but they were very competitive games. Our visitors for the evening were Tony, Andressa and their son Gabby. They brought over some pizza, we bought some ice cream cake, and we enjoyed some food and conversation. Was a good evening which was needed after a day of cleaning!
I also went for an early evening run. I ran for 45 minutes today. It felt harder than I would have liked, but I got through it. I still think I have a little ways to go before I am back at 100%.
Here are my numbers:
Time: 45:00

I just broke the 9 min mark. I'll take it. I felt good for most of the run, but I def slowed down in the last 15 minutes. I need to start stretching myself out again with long runs, but I will do so slowly again. I have no specific race goals, so I think I can keep my long runs to an hour or so, and that should help me maintain my fitness over the winter. Next year, however, I intend to get faster! Watch out!
